While "HMS Book Club" is indeed a powerful title that took months to come up with (cough, cough), many of you have suggested that we come up with a name that shows more ownership and expresses our individuality as a book club. So with that said, the contest for naming our book club has officially begun. Please post your ideas for book club names under this entry, and at our next book club meeting, we will vote on our new name! The winning entry will receive a gift certificate to "The Book Basket" in Wetumpka. Good luck and thanks!

So we have been chatting about names among ourselves (meaning the library aides that are involved in the book club) the past few days and some that we've discussed are:
~Book Browsers
~Ink Spell
~Page Turners
~Bookends
~The "Dog Ear" Club (Get it? We "dog-ear" pages and we ARE the "bulldogs? It's a stretch, but it was mentioned)
~Book Clubbers
~Lit Chat

Okay clubbers! We need to wrap up the book club naming! We will get together one day next week and narrow down the names, and then we will have an online poll that will run until our Dec. 17th meeting where our new name will be unveiled!
