Students gathered this morning for breakfast and a preview reading of Jay Asher's debut novel, TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY. We had a great turnout with over 25 students rolling in sleepy-eyed at 7am to purchase limited copies of the novel that the author will be signing for them! The books were SOLD OUT within the first 10 minutes, with 10 more paid orders. During the read-aloud, you could have heard a pin drop as students listened to Hannah Baker, a voice from the grave, begin to explain the events leading up to her death. The novel will be discussed at the December 4th Book Club Meeting to be held in the HMS Media Center.
